Yasodara recites to Rahula

After many years Kimbulwathpura was to rejoice
The visit of the saffron robed Lord Buddha, under the blue skies
King Suddhodana, was to welcome his son, after many a year
People who got the news flocked from far and near.

Lord Buddha, followed by his disciples, all of the Buddha clan
Was to visit Suddhodana, Buddhas father, thus was their plan
Yasodhara the Royal Princess, who was left untold
As to why prince Siddaratha left her, what made him so bold
Giving way to her whims and airs Yasodhara chose to watch the Lord Buddha from upstairs.

As Lord Buddha's calm and serene figure she spied
Yasodhara could hide her emotions no more, she softly cried
Pointing her fingers to Prince Rahula she looked below
And described the Lord Buddha from tip to toe.

"Look My Son! That's your father with the begging bowl in hand
His disciples, following him, like a yellow wave on Land
"Auspicious signs that adorned Prince Siddartha's feet
No more in colours rosy, bare foot he treads the streets.

Yasodara spoke of the auspicious signs that was dear
Of the artistic lines, remarkably clear
The eye brows resemble the beauty of a rainbow
Such beauty is not to be admired any more.

"The silky skin of the body, that blushed in colours gold
Is only on the most Royal person, thus I have been told
The voice that is classic and tender
Comes from the mouth, with twenty teeth in splendour
Two set of teeth that shine in colours silky white
Is well balanced to hold the mouth in beauty tight"

The head with deep blue curly hair
Adorns the forehead so silky and fair
Round as the full moon is his face my son
Both devas and humans devotion he won

The length of his eyes, well balanced clear and calm
The beauty of his nose, lights his facial charm
Such beauty that adorns your father is very striking
Look, like a royal king he is preceding

Every aspect of the beauty is a collection of stars
Look! That's your father the moon, without any scars
With so much beauty he shed all impurities of greed
Look! How he walks like a super lion in deed
Rahula that's your father, Prince Siddharatha, the Lord Buddha now
You could recognize him from any where, go to him and bow

Sadu!! Sadu! Sadu!!!!
