JHU protests against int'l interference

The Jathika Hela Urumaya protested outside the British High Commission yesterday against what they claim as international interference to an internal problem of Sri Lanka.

Ven Ellawala Medhananda Thera of the JHU said this is our first step to protect the country from foreign countries like France and UK.

"Everyone knows how the British people treated us. Our history gives evidence to that. Why do they come to protect our civilians at this moment? They should have come before. "Now we are at the very end of the war. So we don't need the help of those countries' now. I know that our President, Defence Secretary and other authorities will never stop this fight to win freedom to the country. "We are ready to support them and all patriotic people are always with us to protect our motherland."
