Veterans athletic meet on April 25 and 26

The All Island veterans athletic meet will be held on April 25 and 26 at the Sugathadasa outdoor Stadium a spokesman for the Veterans Athletics Association said.

Athletic events featuring 11 age groups between 35 to 65 years will be held on these two days.

Competitors from India, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia are also expected to compete at this festival.

Over 1,500 sportsmen and sportswomen are likely to compete in the two day meet.

Athletes who reach the qualifying standards will be selected to represent the country at the World Veteran’s Athletic meet in Finland.
