Adaaran ‘Select’ Hudhuran Fushi wins Presidential Award

Adaaran ‘Select’ Hudhuran Fushi won the Presidential award for the highest occupancy in the Maldives in the 300 beds and above category. Maldivian President Mohammed Nasheed presented the award to the Director/General Manager - Administration of Adaaran Resorts Mohamed Mahdy at a function held to mark the Maldivian National Day.

The Presidential Awards for the highest occupancy have been presented since 1995 to recognize market performance of the tourism industry in the country. The prestigious award is the first of its kind given by the President of the Maldives to the tourism industry.

Adaaran ‘Select’ Hudhuran Fushi which means the ‘island of white gold’ that depicts the ambience of this island resort, with its natural lush green palm groves blended with a variety of tropical fauna and flora.

The Beach Villas of Hudhuran Fushi combine a modern contemporary design with all modern day amenities.

The sandy pathways fill the areas in front of the Beach Villas leading right up to the edge of the shoreline, while the interior of the island complements its lush green landscape and a bio plantation of fruits and vegetables of its own. In addition, Hudhuran Fushi pampers its guests with an irresistible choice of over four restaurants to indulge in the finest cuisines from all over the world.

Hudhuran Fushi is also a renowned resort for its popularity among surfers throughout the world. Easy accessibility to famous surfing breaks in the Maldives such as Ninja, Lohi’s, Pasta, Sultan, Cokes, Honkies, Chickens and Himmafushi among several other breaks, makes it a favourite resort for surfers visiting the Maldives.

Adaaran Resorts, apart of the Colombo-based diversified conglomerate Aitken Spence PLC, inaugurated Adaaran ‘Select’ Hudhuran Fushi in late 2006.
