Maldives condemn attack

The Government of Maldives condemns the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore, Pakistan, by gunmen, in which some policemen were killed and Sri Lankan cricketers were injured.

The Government of Maldives empathizes with the Sri Lankan cricket team and conveys its sincere sympathy to cricketers' families. The Government of Maldives strongly condemns the heinous act on the team.

Further, the Government of Maldives emphasized it support to the principal of peace and security and advocate the pursuit of one's objective through peaceful means.
