Nalanda takes Ran Kekulu Trophy

Nalanda College defeated Ananda College by 67 runs to clinch the Ran Kekulu Trophy in the under 13 Division one final which concluded at MCA ground yesterday.

Nalanda batting first scored 185 for 6 wickets in 50 overs. Ananda were bundled out for 118 runs in 35.5 overs) Nalanda who won the toss elected to bat first. Pramud Hettiwatte scored 47 runs in 49 balls with 6 fours and one six and later Captured 2 wickets for 10 runs to make a great contribution for Nalanda's victory.

Lahiru Wijerathne bagged 4 wickets for 28 runs for the champion Nalanada.

Thilina Rathnasena scored 49 in 129 balls with one boundary. Senura Amarasingha's contribution was 28.

Ishan Bandaranayake bagged 2 wickets for 30 runs, Menaka Gunawardena captured 2 for 45 and Nisal Francisco 1 for 16.
