Regional Conference from March 5-6
The Youth Business Sri Lanka (YBSL) at the Ceylon Chamber of
Commerce, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs,
International Alert Sri Lanka and Social Policy Analysis and Research
Centre (SPARC) at the University of Colombo, will organize a regional
conference on youth affairs. The conference will be held from March 5 to
6 at Hotel Taj Samudra.
The objective of the conference is to provide an opportunity to share
the experiences of youth initiatives in three countries; Sri Lanka,
Nepal and Maldives. A high level delegation, including Secretaries of
Ministry of Youth Affairs and delegates representing youth affairs from
Nepal and Maldives are expected to participate.
The Sri Lankan participants will be the heads of institutions that
are associated youth development activities, including the Secretary,
Ministry of Youth Affairs
The conference will focus on experiences and lessons in; (a) Youth
policy formulation, (b) Youth issues in relation to employment and
education, (c) The role of public - private sector partnership for youth
empowerment, (d) Youth entrepreneurship development and employment
initiatives, (e) Conflict and involving youth in peace building and
national integration. |
