UN assist Sri Lanka

The UN is ready to assist in the rehabilitation and the reconstruction of the North, visiting UN Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Sir John Holmes said renewing its call to the LTTE to release the civilians suffering in its fast shrinking territory.

JKH short-listed for Chennai Container terminal project

Final bidder to be made known soon:

John Keells Holdings (JKH) was short-listed with 40 other listed global giants who bid to build a container terminal at Ennore, Chennai in July 2008, Lanka Securities (Pvt) Ltd sources said.
