Cargills presents gifts worth Rs. 5m
Cargills Food City held its grand draw recently at its Maharagama
outlet to present gifts worth Rs. 5 million for farming and
entrepreneurship development to commemorate its 25th anniversary.

Cargills Food City celebrated its 25th anniversary launch of 25 new
outlets with the Doren Dorata Road Show partnered by Sirasa FM covering
360 locations in 60 days. Through this road show Cargills Food City
provided rural farmers and entrepreneurs the chance to win prizes worth
over Rs. 5 million.
"At the end of the Road Show the correct entries were selected and
Cargills Food city gave away valuable prizes to the rural farming
communities," said Marketing Manager, Retail, Cargills (Ceylon) PLC,
Charaka Perera.
Gifts included tractors, Dimo Batta vehicles, three-wheelers, Land
masters, boats and other agriculture equipment, specifically targeting
the needs of rural agriculture communities.
Cargills Food City also gave away more than Rs. 38 million to the Sri
Lankan public through amazing discounts, instant prizes and draws.
"With this Doren Dorata road show we want to strengthen the
relationship we have built with rural areas in Sri Lanka and its
agriculture communities. We wanted them to be a part of the celebrations
as well as gain value from their participation just as they gained value
from their partnership with Cargills. Even in our celebrations we wanted
to ensure that we create value for all stakeholders of our business,"
said Executive Director, Retail at Cargills, Sidath Kodikara.
