A tantalising spell of spin bowling by Kasun Ekan-ayake who captured 7 for 67 bowled St. Anthony's College, Kandy, to a ten wicket win over Dharmasoka College, Ambalangoda in their inter-school match concluded at Katugastota yesterday.

Sokians were dismissed for 108 last morning. Medium pacer Tharanga Bandara bowled best to capture 6 for 35.

St. Anthony's 302 for 6 decl. and 15 for no loss.

Dharmasoka 102 for 7 overnight continued 108 all out (A. Rangana 35, B. Kannangara 14, Tharanga Bandara 6 for 35, Adil Reyal 3 for 26) and 208 all out (L. Ashan 17, A. Niranjan 27, Udesh Udayanga 97, C. Madushanka 16, V. Ashan 31, Kasun Ekanayake 7 for 67, T. Bandara 2 for 40).

Easy win for Sri Rahula

Sri Rahula College, Katugastota scored a 10 wicket win over Galagedera Central College in their schools Under-19 match concluded at Galagedera yesterday.

Highlight of the match was the all-round performance of Sunimal Dissanayake who took 4 for 5 in 5 overs and later scored an aggressive 59 with 4 sixes and 7 fours with 52 of these coming in boundaries for the winners.

Galagedera Central 154 (L.M. Bandara 35, A. Wakwella 18, I Seneviratne 25, U.P. Lanka 20, Chathuranga Dikkumbura 3 for 51, Sunimal Dissanayake 4 for 5) and 101 (U.P. Lanka 19, S. Karunaratne 39, Chethiya Amarasuriya 5 for 23, Aruna Sampath 2 for 9, Amith Tillekeratne).

Sri Rahula 233 (Sunimal Dissanayake 59, Gihan Viduranga 55, A. Sampath 27, Rajitha Ranatunga 26, Chethiya Amarasuriya 15 not out, S. Hemantha 12, I. Seneviratne 2 for 54, S. Karunaratne 2 for 33, U.S. Kumara 4 for 39) and 28 for no loss in 4.4 overs (N. Warnasuriya 15 not out).
