Pakistani PM greets

Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani in a letter to Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake yesterday conveyed warmest greetings of Pakistani people to the people and the Government of Sri Lanka on the occasion of 61st Independence Day.

Excerpts from the letter: Pakistan and Sri Lanka enjoy close and cooperative relationship which is based on mutual respect and shared perceptions on regional and international issues of common interest. I am confident that our existing multifaceted cooperation would be further strengthened through closer interaction between our two countries.
