UNPers pledge support to Govt

About 50 UNP Urban Council and Pradeshiya Sabha members in the Gampaha district pledged their support to ensure a UPFA victory at the Western Provincial Council election, when they called on President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday.

Former Gampaha UNP Organiser and present opposition leader of Gampaha Pradeshiya Sabha, Jayantha Dayalal Jayakodiarachchi and Gampaha UNP Urban Council member Bonnie Perera extended their support to the UPFA at their meeting with the President at the President's House, Kandy.

The President was also assured that a large number of UNP members and local heads would join the Government to strengthen his programme to develop the country.
