Undergraduate Indian scholarships in Fine Arts

Applications are invited for undergraduate scholarships in Fine Arts (Music, Dance and Painting) by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations New Delhi.

Applicants should be between 20 and 25 years and possess a minimum of three passes in GCE Advanced Level including a "B" pass in the subject applied for Dance, Music or Art. They should have at least a simple pass in English language in the GCE Ordinary Level.

Application forms can be obtained from the Indian Cultural Centre, 133, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 4 on weekdays between 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. from February 2 to 10. The applicant should come in person to collect the forms.

Application forms filled in and supported by VCD or video cassettes and photographs should be handed over to the Information Wing of the Indian High Commission between 2.00 to 4.30 p.m. in person by February 17, 2009.

The applicants must bring their original certificates at the time of submission of their duly filled forms, contact 2500014 for details. Candidates from upcountry areas can obtain application forms and submit them to the office of the Assistant High Commission of India, Kandy.
