Defamation case against Defence Secy:

Injunction against Leader Publications extended

The injunction given by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate preventing the Leader Publications Limited from publishing news defamatory of Defence Secretary Gothabaya Rajapaksa was extended by the same Court yesterday till February 6.

When the case was taken up yesterday, Attorney Law Ali Sabry appearing for the Defence Secretary told Court that he wants time to prove that the news published against his client was not true. Hence, the injunction order was extended.
