Tourist Police station opened at Narigama

A new Tourist Police station was opened at ‘Narigama’ in the Hikkaduwa Police area on the direction of Southern Range Senior DIG D. W. Prathapasinghe recently to provide maximum security and assistance to the tourists who visit the South.

The new Tourist Police station was opened by the Southern Range DIG Jagath Abeysirigunawardena.

All tourists who visit the South could obtain assistance and information from this Police Post.

Day and night beach patrolling of the area will be conducted by police personnel attached to the station, said DIG Jagath Abeysirigunawardena. This new tourist police station is a need of the hour said tourist hotel owners in the Hikkaduwa Police area and foreigners who participated at the opening ceremony.
