Bullet riddled body discovered

A bullet riddled unidentified body of a man was found last morning at Okkampitiya road, Buttala. Police spokesman SSP Ranjith Gunasekera said on information the police discovered unidentified body of a man aged around 45 in Okkampitiya road, Buttala.

“The victims lay blindfolded and his hands were cuffed. The assailant had shot him from behind and the bullet had pierced through the head and made and exit from the forehead,” SSP Gunasekera explained. The body had been taken to Moneragala hospital for a postmortem examination. The Moneragala Magistrate had visited the scene of the crime.
