SriLankan renews collective agreement
SriLankan Airlines has renewed its long-standing Collective Agreement
with the SriLankan Airlines Aircraft Technicians Association (SAATA),
following comprehensive discussions to further improve the existing
partnership.
Head of Human Resources Pradeepa Dahanayake, said: "SriLankan
Airlines is delighted to continue our strong long-term relationship with
SAATA, which plays an important role on behalf of our aircraft
technicians. We look forward to an even closer working relationship in
all matters for many more years."
SriLankan Airlines has Collective Agreements with all of its employee
unions, both in Sri Lanka and overseas. These include the Sri Lanka
Nidahas Sevaka Sangamaya, Airline Pilots Guild of Sri Lanka, Association
of Licensed Aircraft Engineers, and the Flight Attendants Union.
The agreement covers a wide range of areas such as salary scales,
promotions, increments, allowances, incentives, overtime, rosters, leave
entitlements, holidays, retirement, EPF, ETF, gratuity, medical
benefits, workmen's compensation, staff travel facilities, training,
grievance procedures, and disciplinary procedures.
Senior partner, Ford Rhodes dies
I. L. Ariyasena, chartered accountant and senior partner of Ford
Rhodes and Thornton Company passed away.
He is an old pupil of Rahula College, Matara. |
