UPFA for broader alliance
The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) is
set to form a broader alliance to contest the upcoming Provincial
Council elections for the Central and North Western Provinces with
several parties voicing interest in joining ranks to form such a
front, UPFA General Secretary Minister Susil Premajayantha said.

JVP blames several EU countries for going soft on LTTE fronts

yesterday said that they regret that several EU countries have not
yet paid sufficient attention to arrest the operations of those
organisations who act for and act on behalf of the LTTE in their
