The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) is set to form a broader alliance to contest the upcoming Provincial Council elections for the Central and North Western Provinces with several parties voicing interest in joining ranks to form such a front, UPFA General Secretary Minister Susil Premajayantha said.

Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg Ambassador Ravinatha Aryasinha said sufficient evidence was available that the operations of front organisations are an integral part of the LTTE as seen in recent action against the LTTE fronts in the US and Canada.

Int’l operations re-launched this month :

Mihin to launch domestic flights

Mihin Lanka will introduce domestic flights to three destinations after launching their international schedule end of this month. This would be done within three months and the management hopes to lease 17 new aircraft for these operations. The airline is looking at flying to Trincomalee, Palaly and Ampara mainly targeting the local business clientele.
