Hans LMD’s ‘Sri Lankan of the Year’

Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Group Chief Executive Officer Dialog Telekom, was crowned as LMD’s ‘Sri Lankan Of The Year’. Life time award was presented to banker Reinzie T. Wijetilleke while the Living Magazine award went to cricketer Ajantha Mendis. Wijayasuriya has led virtually every effort to turn Dialog into the leading brand among mobile telcos - and one of the nation’s most valued brands, at the same time.

The ceremony was held at Cinnamon Grand with the former winner MP. Wijedasa Rajapaksa presenting the award.

Cargills Food City promotion

Cargills Food City 25th anniversary celebration of a life time is getting into full swing with the launch of an exciting new Reality Show featuring Cargills Food City customers.

More than 40,000 Cargills Food City customers who made a purchase of Rs. 1,000 or more between October 17 and 24 entered into a luck draw, with Sirasa Tv picking 20 customers to be featured in a single programme. Accordingly 20 new faces would be participating in each show aired every Friday.

Every show would feature 20 customers who were selected from a raffle draw. Of the 20, one lucky Cargills Food City customer would be picked during the show randomly from a computer system to compete for the grand prize of Rs 2.5 million.”

Manager of a Cargills Food City outlet would be calling the competitor and tempting him with offers to withdraw from the competition. The competitor can take the offer or keep going through all 20 boxes until he gets to his box which could enclose any amount from 10 cents to Rs 2.5 million,” explained the Channel Head of Sirasa Tv, Susara Dinal.

Executive Director- Retail of Cargills (Ceylon) PLC Sidath Kodikara, said viewers from Home can also win as much as Rs 100,000 during every programme. “During the show three boxes would appear on the screen and viewers have to guess which box has the prize money and sms their answers to 7788.
