Badulla District Veterans win Over 40 soccer tournament

The Badulla District veterans team won the championship of the Over 40 soccer tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Soccer Masters Association and sponsored by Tilak Peiris, played at St. Benedict's College grounds, Kotahena recently.

They beat Princess Veterans Maligawatte soccer team in the final by one nil.

M. T. M. Farook of Princess Veterans side Maligawatte was adjudged the best player and J. A. Faluloon of Badulla District Veterans team was selected as the best goal keeper. Rev. Bro. Granville Perera, Director of St. Benedict's College, Kotahena was the chief guest and gave away the prizes.

H. B. R. Prishantha was the referee at the finals.
