Karpov Chess Club on the move

Anatoly Karpov Chess Club of Russian centre in Colombo launched out on many activities to commemorate their 10th Anniversary.

Suneetha Wijesuriya, President Anatoly Karpov Chees Club of Russian Centre in Colombo said that they conducted several coaching camps at Maharagama central college, Galle District, Defence Services College Colombo 2, Isipathana College and special chess coaching programmes for teachers-in-charge in Western Province.

The Anatoly Karpov Chees Club in Colombo had opened a chess centre in Pereliya at Paduma Gabbarama Temple. Ayrat Akhmetow, Director of the Russian Centre was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Organized a Simultaneous Chess exhibition tournament with the help of Manual Aaron, who was the first Indian International Master.
