Tamil Nadu fishermen to be repatriated

Four Tamil Nadu fishermen found in distress in Sri Lankan waters on November 23 will be repatriated to India, Navy sources said.

The fishing trawler, bearing the registration number TN 10 MFB 912, had broached on a reef in the Mallikal Beach Area North-West of Delft due to engine and steering failure. Its hull had been partially damaged on impact and the sea water had started to leak in.

The four fishermen, aged 27, 33, 33 and 40 are residents of Narachchi Labernagar, Ramanathapuram and Tamil Nadu, now under way to repatriate them.
