Hardcore Tiger suspect nabbed in Ukuwela

An LTTE suspect alleged to have disbursed funds to strengthen terrorist activities in the hill country including Kandy and Matara was taken into custody at Ukuwela by the Kandy Anti-terrorist Unit.

Police intelligence have revealed that the suspect had undergone special training at Kilinochchi and was behind a number of terrorist acts committed in the hill country. He has been identified as a close accomplice of the hardcore LTTEer, Kannan.
