Defending champs Ratnam and Negombo Youth in front

Enwomb Youth Sports Club Playing under Segment A I after completing four of their games in the ongoing Dialog Premier League Soccer Championship has maintained unbeaten record with three victories and a draw to be on top of the points table collecting 10 points.

With only one game left for them to play against unfancied New Youngs SC from Wennappuwa will give them the opportunity to maintain a clean record from the first round before they enter the round two which is scheduled to commence on November 15.

The are closely followed by Sri Lanka Army who have completed their quota of five games in round one to have tally of nine points. Blue Star SC from Kalutara stays at number three slot while Pelicans SC lies at the bottom of this group with only three points from five games.

The defending Champions Ratnam SC heads the Segment A II with 12 points after the completion of their round one games. Though they have the highest number of points (12) under their belt but have lost a match to Jupiters SC and recorded four wins to collect these points.

In this Group Air Force too is in a strong position after collecting 09 points from four matches. A win in the next game for Airmen could put them on equal terms with the leaders Ratnam SC.

In the same Group Jupiters SC who made the biggest upset so far in this tourney beating the defending champions Ratnam SC is placed in the third slot. Java Lane SC from Slave Island is in the last position in this group.

In Segment B I Kandy York SC is in front after completing their round one games. York SC maintained a fine record up to the last game against Hy Line SC in which they suffered a humiliating defeat. York SC is followed by Don Bosco SC who has a tally of 10 points.

Maya SC have failed collect a single point during this round one as they have lost all the five games played so far and also it is interesting to note that they have conceded 19 goals while collecting only a mere 2 goals for them.

The Sarasavi SC is the only team which has a kept clean record so far in this championship collecting the highest number of points (13) from five matches.They have won four games out of five and drawn the other in collecting these points. It is also the team that has conceded the lowest number of goals (1). Golden Star SC too maintains a good record in this group staying unbeaten after games and are looking forward to share the top spot in this group.

Meanwhile Cooray SC with only one from a draw is place right at the bottom of the table in this Segment B II.

A When the round two commences on November 15 all leading teams will have to come up with every thing they have in store to maintain their top spots further and to reach the semi final stage.
