School security officer in bribery net

Bribery sleuths yesterday arrested a Security Officer of a leading school in Getambe for soliciting Rs, 30,000 from a father to get his child admitted to the grade one class.

According to Investigations Director of the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption SSP Neville Guruge, the security officer has been arrested by the Commission officials while accepting money from the child's father who lives in Haloluwa in Kandy. The suspect was to be produced before the Kandy Magistrate yesterday evening.
