Moratuwa Carpenters at cricket

Pidilite Industries Ltd, the manufacturers of famous 'Fevicol' adhesives along with local distributor Macbertain (Private) Limited sponsored an unique cricket tournament organised by the Carpenters Association of Moratuwa. A total of 32 teams took part in this cricket tournament. The enthusiasm and involvement of around 1,000 carpenters and associates were excellent throughout the match.

Fevicol being the No. 1 brand of Asia in adhesive category, the 'Fevicol Cricket Tournament', was held in honour of the carpenter community.

The finals amongst Edibedda Eleven Hearts and Moratumulla Dimuthu Muthu was very competitive and after a great battle Eleven Hearts were beaten by Dimuthu Muthu and won the Fevicol Champions Trophy 2008.

Our pride, Ajantha Mendis the great and promising cricketer graced the occasion to promote the noble cause of carpenter brothers.

His presence made 'Fevicol Cricket Tournament' a memorable one. A trophy, as a token of respect, was handed over to Ajantha Mendis for his support towards the carpenter community.
