Help Ranjini and her triplets

For Tharanga Ranjini (31) of Unanawetiya, Pathawelivitiya who gave
birth to triplets at the Galle Mahamodara hospital on Monday October 6,
her joy was shortlived because she had to wrack her brains thinking how
to upkeep the new borns single handed without the support of her
husband, who died four months ago.
Ranjini married Nandana Kariyawasam (33) her childhood boyfriend with
the blessings of their parents. They soon settled down in a tiny house
at Patha Welivitiya, Karandeniya and led a smooth and happy life despite
financial constraints as her husband was a casual labourer without a
permanent job. A new member was added to the family soon with a birth of
a son, Supun Maduranga, who is now 4 years old.
Though the couple led a happy and contented life with their son, fate
ruled otherwise. Cruel quirk of fate snatched away the life of her
husband Nandana during June floods.
As Nandana and two other friends were crossing the flood waters in a
boat to fetch drinking water for their families.
All three died after getting entangled in a live electricity wire of
an uprooted post, hidden under the water.
Perhaps the three precious lives were lost due to official lethargy
in quickly disconnecting the fallen electricity line.
Ranjini says she is unable to bring up her four children including
the three newborns with the megre monthly Samurdhi allowance of Rs. 460
her family received. Her two parents and in-laws are too old and infirm
to come to her assistance.
She would be much obliged if any kind donors could help her
financially to cater to her children's immediate needs including milk
food. All contributions should be remitted to her Account Number 8447685
at the Bank of Ceylon, Baddegama branch.
