A Tikiri Peya Programme conducted by NDB Bank

NDB Bank’s Children’s Savings Account offers children, a bundle of benefits with an attractive interest rate; free life insurance and permanent disability cover for the parent/guardian, free hospitalisation cover for the child, standing order payments from the parents’ account to the child’s account (free of charge) and an attractive Children Savings Gift Scheme. The account can be opened with just Rs. 1,000/-.

When the child turns 18, NDB Children’s Savings account will be converted into a regular savings account, and they will receive access to a number of benefits that are offered by NDB Bank.

Also with the aim of encouraging savings among children, NDB Bank joined hands with ITN as the main sponsor of the Tikiri Peya programme.

NDB Bank Children’s Savings Account holders have the opportunity to take part in this one-hour programme aired on ITN from 4pm - 5pm on Sundays, which provides children an educational experience that breaks away from the conventional forms of children entertainment programmes.

NDB Bank also conducts the Tikiri Peya programme in schools across the Island, where every child is given a Till; so that they can start savings at home and later deposit their money in an NDB Bank Children’s Savings Account.
