Havelock City project wins property awards

Havelock City, Colombo’s landmark luxury residential and commercial complex has been awarded a prestigious five star award for the ‘Best Development in Sri Lanka’ and a four star award for the ‘Best High Rise Development in Sri Lanka’ at the recently concluded Asia Pacific Property Awards 2008, held in association with CNBC networks worldwide.

The Awards are accolades of global repute, handed out in recognition of quality design, construction and architecture of individual properties and property developments. They are also an acknowledgement of the expertise and professionalism of the property developer.

The Asia Pacific Property Awards are the earliest established international property awards programme in the world and are open to residential property development professionals from any business based within the Asia Pacific region. Entries from around the world are judged by a panel of well-respected experts from various disciplines relating to the design, development and marketing of properties.

Havelock City brings state-of-the-art, international standards of design, construction and architecture to introduce Sri Lankans to a new age of integrated modern living. Constructed on 16 acres of land, the mega project will include eight towers, each rising from 22 to 29 levels in height, surrounding a lush landscaped paradise.

The project offers 1 - 4 bed-roomed apartments and penthouse suites, each with its own spectacular view of the city, sea and Havelock City’s own landscaped gardens. Common facilities will include function rooms, a gymnasium and swimming pool.

Phase one of the project, the Park and Elibank residential towers comprising 226 apartments, is nearing completion with 60% of the apartments already sold.

The project is developed under the expert leadership of Mireka Capital Land (Pvt) Limited, a joint venture between Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC and Bank of Ceylon.
