NCCSL helps Batti women

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka through the Business Promotion Fund sponsored by the Kingdom of the Netherlands will disburse assistance to 40 small and medium women entrepreneurs in the Batticaloa District.

Disbursements will be in the form of machines and equipment to enable them to develop their small industries. Majority of the 40 women selected are involved in making garments and supplying to large scale traders in the region..

NCCSL expects them to expand their businesses by utilising the assistance and provide employment opportunities for youths in the district. Chamber also expects them to be part and parcel of the Sri Lankan business community by contributing to the Gross Domestic Products in the country. Chamber carries out this programme throughout the country and has supported 436 Small and Medium Entrepreneurs as at today.
