Dreamscape A world within a dream
Dreamscape an exhibition of paintings by Sanoj de Alwis will be held
on September 20, 21 and 22 at the Lionel Wendt - Harold Peiris gallery.
The paintings which are done in mediums such as oil on canvas, pastels
and charcoal will be displayed from 9.30 a.m. - 8 p.m.
The artist stated that his quest to have a solo exhibition started
early, but he was compelled to slow down his collection to complete his
further studies in Australia at Swinburne University of Technology where
he studied Applied Science in computing, and he has been working at
Kingslake a leading enterprise software solutions company, ever since
graduating.
His passion for painting never ceased since he has been encouraged by
winning a number of art prizes and acclaimed by the viewers at a very
early age since studying at Royal College and later at Elizabeth Moir
School. His parents have always been at his side to pursue his maiden
exhibition.
A creative blend of colours and his self taught unorthodox painting
style, where he tags it as a combination of curvism and modernism.
The paintings done for almost a decade will be on display which will
also include his experimenting on other styles of painting. He aims to
accelerate his progress on his style of painting for his future
exhibitions to come.
