Kandambi shines in drawn Third Test
Middle order batsman Thilina Kandambi was adjudged man of the match
in Sri Lanka 'A' s drawn third and final unofficial Test against South
Africa 'A' which ended in Benoni yesterday.
In reply to the home team's first innings total of 550 all out, Sri
Lanka 'A' made 395 all out with Kandambi making a magnificent century
(128 with 17 fours in 344 mts). South Africa 'A' made 185 for 7 declared
in their second innings.
Chasing a victory target of 341, the visitors were 95 for 5 at stumps
with Kandambi unbeaten on 32. South Africa 'A', which won the second
'Test' by an innings after a drawn first game, won the three-match
series 1-0. |
