Udagama people long for bright nights

Rs. 9.3 million has been allocated to provide electricity to Udagama area in Atakalanpanna.

Areas from Buluwana to Udagama, Udagama to Thambaiyawa via Polgahawela and from Udagama to ‘C’ division estate line houses will be provided electricity. People in the Godakawela Divisional Secretariat area at Rakwana electorate had requested for electricity for the last 20 years.

Power and Energy Minister and Ratnapura district PA organiser W. D. J. Seneviratne has pledged to provide power to the area.

Funds have been allocated through the Asian Development Bank.
