Junior spikers off to Iran

The 14th Asian Junior Volleyball Championship is to be held in Iran from August 23-31. Sri Lanka Junior spikers left the island on Thursday to compete at this C'ship.

The junior spikers team comprising twelve players is led by M. Gayan Madhusanka, J. W. Silva accompany the squad as the overall manager with five other officials.

Sri Lanka will compete in group A along with India, Indonesia and Korea. The other teams participating are Iran, Maldives, Pakistan, Chinese Taipei, Australia, Kazakastan, China, Qatar and Japan. They are grouped as B,C and D. The Sri Lankan squad M. Gayan Madhusanka, M. A. Nishan Chamara, S. A. J. N. B. Uggoda, A. A. Nirmal Chathuranga, N. A. P. P. Netthasinghe, M. M. Rifki, W. A.
