Japanese Parliamentarians' delegation here
A four-member Japanese Parliamentarian delegation led by Hosei Norota,
Member of the House of Representatives, Chairman of Japan-Sri Lanka
Parliamentarians' Friendship Association, former Minister of
Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and former Minister of Defence is in
Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit.
They arrived here yesterday and will be in Sri Lanka until August 27.
The visit is to promote and deepen bilateral relations between the
two countries and the peoples.
Norota will be accompanied by Hiroshi Nakai, Member of the House of
Representatives and former Minister of Justice, Naokazu Takemoto, Member
of the House of Representatives and Former Senior Vice Minister of
Finance, Shozaburo Jimi, Member of the House of Councillors and Former
Minister of Post and Telecommunications and other officials of the
Government of Japan.
They will meet Sri Lankan Government leaders to exchange views on
various bilateral issues. |
