Air raid on four Tiger targets

Air Force fighter jets carried out air sorties targeting four identified LTTE locations East of Thunukkai, Mullaitivu yesterday morning.

Air Force spokesman Wing Commander Janaka Nanayakkara said Air Force fighter jets raided four identified LTTE targets in support of the Army’s 57 Division advancing in the Mullaitivu district.

“The targets were one km East of Thunukkai and the air raid was conducted around 7.30am,” he added. “The air strikes were carried out precisely following ground intelligence information and air surveillance,” Wing Commander Nanayakkara said.
