Nirmala Perera's funeral tomorrow

The remains of Mass Media and Information Ministry Additional Secretary Nirmala Perera are lying at her residence at 2/7, Sama Mawatha, Ihala Karagahamuna, Kadawata. The Funeral will take place tomorrow at 03.30 p.m. at the General Cemetery Kanatte.

Perera was a Class I Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service and a Graduate of the University of Peradeniya. She did her post graduate degree in Public Administration at the University of Sri Jayawardenapura.

She has held several posts in the public sector inclusive as Assistant Commissioner of Department of Immigration and Emigration and Department of Marketing Development , Assistant Secretary to the Ministry of Land, Irrigation and Mahaweli Development, Director of Ministry of Finance, Senior Assistant Secretary to the Ministry of Health, Senior Assistant Secretary to the Public Service Commission and Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Nation Building and last served as the Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Mass Media and Information.
