Public views sought on telecom tower policy
Irangika RANGE
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL)
realising the necessity to address issues of health, safety, economy,
environmental and other impacts on the proposed national policy on
Antenna Structures has decided to call for the public comments.
The TRCSL expects to obtain public views on this Policy on Antenna
Structures and issues which are not addressed in this policy will be
submitted to President Mahinda Rajapaksa shortly.
The TRCSL has formulated a new national policy on Antenna Structures
with the intention of safeguarding the environmental and public
interests while not unduly restricting the development of the
telecommunications service.
The TRCSL has appointed a Technical Advisory committee to address the
issues related to the Antenna Structures.
All public views and comments should be submitted before September 11
to the TRCSL. Responses can also be sent to E-mail networkdata @trc.
