New projects under Gama Neguma

Arrangements have been made to develop 75 Grama Seva Niladari
divisions (GS) in Gampaha electorate, implementing 212 development
projects under the Jathika Saviya Gama Neguma rural development
programme.
Rupees 93 million has allocated for the purpose on the request of the
Minister of Religious Affairs Pandu Bandaranayake MP for Gampaha
electorate.
Development of rural roads, waterways, minor irrigations, drinking
water supply, health and sanitary facilities, livelihood and provisions
of employment, courses on self-employment avenues, construction of
community development centres, playgrounds, libraries, and set up of
herbal gardens are included in the programme.
In addition a decision has also taken to construct a sub-railway
station in between Yagoda station and Orutota bridge. The amount
allocated for the construction of the proposed sub station is Rs One
million. |
