Talk by Jayantha Dhanapala

Former Under-Secretary of the United Nations and former Member of the Sri Lanka Foreign service Jayantha Dhanapala will talk on “The Role of Senior Citizens in Development” on August 14 at the Postgraduate Institute of Management, Borella at 5 p.m.

This presentation will under the auspices of SLAREXPA, supported by PIM. SLAREXPA (Sri Lanka Association of Retired Professionals and Academics) was formed by a group of enthusiasts inspired by the Declaration of the Second World Assembly on Ageing to explore ways of continuing to play a valuable role in the country’s development process. The membership comprises senior administrators, private sector executives and academics, over 55 years of age, who consider themselves as having retired from their substantive positions.
