Houses damaged in Kalpitiya by mini cyclone

A thunderstorm and mini cyclone over the Paniadiya and Pulachena villages of Kalpitiya peninsula damaged 15 houses yesterday.

S. Selverdurai who experienced the incident said that the storm began with a massive lightning attack.

Many irrigation systems in the area have also been damaged due to the thunder storm.
