Nepal beat Sri Lanka 3-0

Sri Lanka was completely outplayed by Nepal in the AFC Challenge Cup which is in progress in Hyderabad yesterday by three goals to nil.

The match which was played at Lal Bhadur Stadium saw the Nepalese in full control of the game though the ground conditions was soggy due to heavy rains. Nepal was in front in the first session with a goal coming through the boot of S. Santhos and the players returned to pavilion for lemons with Nepal in the lead 1-0.

Second half saw Nepal extend their lead within ten minutes of play with R. Jumana scoring. Few minutes later S. Santosh made it three scoring his second goal of the match.

Though Sri Lanka fought hard to carry the ball upto scoring range failed to do the finishing touches to find the net.

Chathura Madhuranga, the skipper of the Lankan team once again failed to take the field due to his injury. (BP)
