Doha's Lankan mission open on Fridays

The Sri Lankan embassy in Doha will stay open on Fridays for consular services, from 9 am to 2 pm, from next week.

The expanded working hours will benefit the rapid growing Sri Lankan community in Qatar, now estimated to number more than 130,000 an embassy official said.

Services will include passport renewal, submission of applications for new passports, issuance of police clearance, birth and death certificates, and authentication of documents.
