Delmege ventures into aluminum wall cladding
Delmege Construction Products (Pvt) Ltd, a member of the Delmege
Group of companies announced an association with Willstrong Building
Material Company Ltd, as their sole agent for aluminium composite panels
in Sri Lanka.
Delmege is Sri Lanka’s largest importer and supplier of carpets,
carpet tiles, contract & healthcare flooring, laminate flooring, office
chairs, polybutylene pipes etc.
Guangzhou Willstrong Building Material Co. Ltd, established in 1999,
has become one of the leading companies specializing in Aluminium
Composite Material and Panel production and development in China.

With a 2,750 million dollars investment, Willstrong has built an
industrial centre that occupies 60,000 m2 at the Guangzhou Economic and
Technological Development District.
This centre contains the administration building as well as the
manufacturing workshops with eight production lines of German
Technology, making it one of the largest manufacturing centres of
Aluminium Composite Material/Panel in the whole of Asia.
Willstrong aluminium composite panels are now available ex-stock in a
range of colours with a manufacturer’s warranty for 20 years.
The company has already supplied Willstrong composite panels, for the
cladding of commercial buildings and in fact has completed over 50 sites
in Sri Lanka already.
According to the Jt. Deputy Chairman/Managing Director Delmege
Construction, Anil Wijesinghe, “Delmege construction has the ability to
provide a complete turnkey solution while the range available includes
solid and metallic colour PVDF panels for exterior walls, solid and
metallic colour PE Panels for internal and short term exterior walls,
bill boards and name boards, stone/ granite look PVDF/PE Panels, wood
look PVDF/PE panels as well as fireproof ACPs”.
Wijesinghe added that Willstrong’s most recent project in Europe was
the Charles De Gaulle Airport, also known as the Roissy Airport.

Delmege Construction Products (Pvt) Ltd., Nilantha Fernando, added that
the trade can now conveniently obtain many of its quality interior
product and building product requirements from under one roof, rather
than dealing with a number of different suppliers.
NSB, NDB join Lanka Bell payment network
Two more banking groups have joined Lanka Bell’s extensive bill
settlement network, giving subscribers of the Sri Lankan
telecommunications giant another 170 outlets at which they may pay their
monthly bills.
The addition of the National Savings Bank’s 131 branches and NDB
Bank’s 40 branches to the network takes the number of locations at which
Lanka Bell bills may be settled to more than 1,866, the company said
this week.
Eleven banking groups with a combined network of nearly 1800 branches
and service points now offer Lanka Bell bill settlement options, in
addition to the company’s own network of 60 branches and a dedicated
counter at Apollo Hospital.
“The importance of enhancing customer convenience is ever increasing
as transport costs escalate and time for errands diminishes,” said Lanka
Bell Managing Director, Prasad Samarasinghe. ‘In this context, the
addition of NSB and NDB Bank to the network is most welcome, and would
be greatly appreciated by our subscribers.”
He said many of these banks offered holiday and Saturday banking as
well as supermarket banking, making bill settlement possible even on
public and bank holidays.
Lanka Bell bills may be settled by cheque, cash and credit cards or
via the internet banking options offered by these banks. The network
comprises Commercial Bank, Sampath Bank, Bank of Ceylon, Hatton National
Bank, People’s Bank, HSBC, Nations Trust Bank, Standard Chartered Bank,
Seylan Bank, National Savings Bank and NDB Bank.

Kent exports to Dubai
