Private-public sector team in NCED Tax Cluster

A high powered and diverse 21-member private-public sector team was appointed to the National Commission on Economic Development (NCED) Tax Cluster, which, it said, was to create an enabling environment of rapid economic development.

The frontline private sector team members in the NCED Tax Cluster are: Ceylon Tobacco PLC Chairman and Ceylon Chamber of Commerce Deputy Chairman Jayampathi Bandaranayake, Ernst and Young Tax Partner Lakmali Nanayakkara, KPMG Ford Rhodes Thornton Partner Suresh Perera, Lanka Orix Leasing PLC Group Managing Director and CEO Kapila Jayawardena, DFCC Bank PLC CEO Nihal Fonseka, Eagle Insurance PLC Managing Director/CEO Deepal Sooriyarachchi, Tax Ombudsman Justice Maxwell Paranagama, Gajma Partners Director N.R. Gajendran, Com Tax Law Director Denzil Rodrigo, Peoples leasing PLC Senior Manager Lionel Fernando and former Industrial Association of Sri Lanka Chairman and Nestle Lanka PLC Corporate Affairs Director Cubby Wijetunga, who has also been named as a private sector delegate.
