Sylvestrians enter under 19 hockey final

St. Sylvesters' College, Kandy, entered the finals of the Kandy District Schools under 19 hockey tournament when they beat the strong Wickremabahu Central College, Gampola 3-1 after a penalty shoot out in the semi-finals of the tournament organised by the Kandy District Schools Football Association played at the Bogambara Stadium in Kandy on Saturday.

The scores at the end of the regulation time stood deadlocked at one all after Wickremabahu Central had led 1-0 at the breather. M.Y. Yaseer scored for the Sylvestrians while Rasika Pradeep scored for Wickremabahu Central.

In the penalty shoot out which followed Sylsvestrains emerged winners.
