The golf Triangular for the Beadon Cup for Caddies among Royal
Colombo Golf Club, Nuwara Eliya Golf Club and Victoria Golf and Country
Resort will be worked off on July 9th and 10 at two venues. This
championship for Caddies is organised by the Sri Lanka Golf Union.
This Golf Championship for caddies was initially for caddies from
Royal Colombo Golf Club and Nuwara Eliya Golf Club for the Beadons Cup
and Victoria Golf and Country Resort was added on to the competition
last year after the championship was revived after a lapse of 20 years.
The present President of the Sri Lanka Golf Union Nihal de Silva was
responsible in reviving this championship in 2007 after he traced the
Beadon Cup with a caddie.
Nuwara Eliya Golf Club led by Sri Lanka's golf captain is present
holder of the Beadon Cup having won it last year.
On Wednesday (July 9th) Victoria Golf and Country Resort will take on
RCGC at the Victoria Golf Course at Rajawella.
The following day the winners will meet Nuwara Eliya Golf Club at
Nuwara Eliya to decide the championship. |
