No patriotic person will ever support strike - Anunayake Thera

When the country is poised to totally defeat terrorism, attempts on the part of those who organise strikes amount to indirectly supporting terror, said Ven. Galagama Arthadassi Nayaka Thera, Anunayake of the Asgiri Chapter.

The Venerable Thera said, when terrorists including Prabhakaran are courting defeat, no patriotic person will ever support strikes organised at this critical junction.

Therefore, it is incumbent on the intelligent workforce to make a wise decision in the interest of the country. They should also understand that President Mahinda Rajapaksa has taken steps to effect a salary increase even when the valiant forces is committed to a decisive battle to wipe out terrorism from the country, the Venerable Thera pointed out.

It is time for all of us to forget everything and re-dedicate ourselves to protecting the country, the Thera said in conclusion.
