New High Commissioner able to clear out wrong perceptions - Prelate

Chief Incumbent of the London Buddhist Vihara Venerable Bogoda Seelawimala Thera said the newly appointed Sri Lanka's London High Commissioner Chandra Nihal Jayasinghe is a former senior Supreme Court Judge and a versatile international jurist with a deep knowledge in Buddhism.

The Thera was addressing a ceremony to bless the new High Commissioner at Hyde Park Gardens London when he assumed duties.

The Thera said at a time when the country facing a crisis as certain elements are engaged in destroying the image of the country, President Mahinda Rajapaksa has appointed an intellectual who is professionally trained to listen to all sides and give a balanced verdict.
